The trails at Crandall Park have some thin areas and plenty of icy sections. The recent 1" of snow has helped a little bit. Some sections are better than others. There still is some tree debris on the trails. The lights are working fine but there are a few areas that are darker than others. Conditions will probably not improve until we receive some new snow.
Queensbury school trails are icy in some spots. The recent snow has helped the coverage on the trails. There was not enough snow in the trails to set a classic track. You may find a loop of decent snow in the fields. The hills are quite treacherous at this point.
I haven't heard about the conditions at the Lake George school.
Green Mansions Golf Course (near Chestertown) reports an icy base. They are waiting for the next snow fall to groom. It's free, but consider a donation to the groomer who pays for gas and upkeep out of his own pocket.
Garnet Hill and Lapland Lake have good conditions and more snow than we have in the Glens Falls area. They both have groomers with tillers that can grind up ice and crust and provide better conditions when the weather plays havoc with our local trails. here.
